toddler shoot

I am doing some kid’s sessions at the moment, kicking off Saturday with 3 toddlers under the age of three! Shooting this age group was a first for me and I definitely learned a lot doing it (I could probably make you a nice long list of things not to do when shooting toddlers now!).
Nevertheless, we got some nice shots, here are the best:
Check out Mona’s amazing hair colour!

curious Moritz

and happy Julius

Hi Mimi, you were the easiest and most patient model by far!

Too bad the theme wasn’t photographing quiet, beautiful dogs, what portraits we would have got!

But I digress, let’s get back to the kids 😉

and a last one, which probably captures the feel of the session best

Apart from this, my weekend was filled with sewing, soapmaking, horseriding and barbecuing, so I barely had time to even check my mails! Hope you enjoyed these, I am already getting excited for next weekend’s session with a bubbly 7-year-old and her sweet 10-year-old brother!

These pictures are wonderful! You are a great photographer – really catching the spirit of the kids. Do love that little red head but they are all great.

What kind of soapmaking did you do?

Thanks Lynda! I do put a lot of work into it as well though and really try to prepare for each session (really useless for this one btw, turns out toddlers are totally immune to instructions and attempts to catch their attention).
I made the goatmilk/lavender and the oatmeal/goatmilk/honey soap yesterday finally. It’s still in the freezer, because I wanted to definitely prevent gelling and I’ll be cutting it tomorrow.
Then I get to do my favorite part, designing labels :))

Such cute pics! Come to CA and take some of my kids!! I really love your pictures – your vacation was so beautiful.
    Happy day!

Thanks Sarah! I very much hope so too 🙂 I am looking for an office job right now but the idea is there at the back of my mind to eventually become a professional photographer.
Let’s see what happens in the next 10 years because I really have no idea where I’m headed 😉

I think I’m stupid because I didn’t know you actually worked with photography! I thought it was more like a hobby or something. The last picture is my favorite and wow, you really are great at this.

I was away! But I’m back now. Missed your writing.

Hi, welcome back 🙂 No, you’re right, photography is just a hobby right now, though I do get asked to do shoots (like the one above). I’m hoping to eventually go into business with it though, not right now, maybe in 10 years or so.
