These Holga shots were taken a couple of weeks ago, but I hadn’t yet gotten around to sharing them here.
Duesseldorf on a summer weekend, at twilight.
It was still hot, around 30°C and the city center and all the promenades along the Rhine were crowded.
All of these are developed and scanned at home, as always.
I’ve found out that the Holga makes for the most wonderful sun flares (because of its awful lens of course). I am loving this shot of my pony (bestest horse there ever was, loving you to bits baby!):
I’ve really got to try to get those sun flares in color shots as well!
Love the sun flare shot. Also, was there an event going on that there were so many people out? Really love the black and white shots – always have but no longer take any.

Thanks Lynda 🙂 There was a french market that evening but really, the city center is always so crowded on weekends…that’s why I usually never go there, I hate crowds.
Why did you stop taking black and white pictures? There must be lots of motifs on your farm!

Kristina, It’s expensive to have the film developed. I used to develop my own film and had control over the prints. I’ve just not liked how they look when they are developed by labs.

Black & white shots are among my favorites too, but I would love to see more of the sun flare shots down in color as well. I’m so in love with Holga photos at the moment—I just can’t get enough of them!

Thanks Sandie 🙂 Me too, Holga photos just have a special charm to them that makes them so interesting! Do you have a Holga too?
