Taken on a sunny friday afternoon with his Canon 5D (still waiting for my tax return so I can buy my own!).
W’ve been through some pretty tough times in the last 1.5 years and I still can’t really put it into words. So I’ll just say I’m happy things turned out the way they did.
Great pics of your dad except the smoking ones. My dad died of emphysema when I was 36 even though he had quit smoking18 years earlier. He lived to be 75 while his sister, who never smoked lived to be 102! I was way too young to lose my dad.

Sorry about your dad Lynda 😦 I’m not supportive of smoking. I’ve never smoked myself and I don’t get why anyone would poison themselves like that on purpose. It was smoking and stress that caused my dad’s heart attack. He knows that and has cut down his smoking drastically to a few cigs a day, but won’t quit completely. I know I can’t make him and it’s a part of him, whether I like it or not. That’s why those pics are there 😉

Your Dad has such a lovely face. I think you captured how I feel about my Dad a little bit, too. Maybe it’s a daughter thing. And you’ve completely inspired me to take some pictures of him. I’ll have to be sneaky, though – he’s not one for having his picture taken. Also, isn’t the 5D grand? Adam has one. I don’t get to touch it much – he refers to it as the other baby in the house. 🙂

Thanks Sherrie :)) I’d love to see pictures of your dad! These pictures were taken when he was talking to both me and my boyfriend so my tipp would be taking the pics when he is in a conversation and doesn’t notice 😉 And use a tele lens. This was the 135mm 2.0 and it was almost too near.
But yes, the 5D is a DREAM to use, I’ve only really used it once and I was totally hooked! I totally get why it’s so precious to Adam 😀 I’m also known for never letting anyone touch (or even hold) my photo stuff (it gets pretty ridiculous sometimes). Though I make exceptions for family members and close friends 😉
