My work has an elaborate theme christmas party each year, something for everyone to look forward to throughout the year. This year the motto was “Casino” and there were some great costumes. I only took a handful of photos, since the venue was very dark, but here’s a glimpse of the atmosphere.
These photos are stunning! I have such a hard time capturing such massive amounts of red (see first photo) in dim lighting. How did you do it?

Thank you đŸ™‚ I shot this full manual: manual exposure, manual focus for the blurry effect and most important custom white balance. The venue was almost exclusively red light and though I didn’t manage to get the white balance perfect it is much better than auto white balance. It’s very easy to get custom white balance in camera, a friend who has the same camera as me showed me that night how to do it! It should be explained in your camera’s manual. Turning the white balance to “tungsten” is always a good step too.
